Three points:
1) The day/month is in UK format; the press release is dated September 3rd (and not the 9th of March).
2) The press release indicates that the new navigation system will become available in "Autumn" for the F30. Autumn in the northern hemisphere begins September 22nd and ends December 21st, which seems to leave open the possibility of a late November or early December switchover.
3) Although this is a "global" press release, there's nothing to prevent BMW from having region-specific differences in their rollout schedule. (In other words, this doesn't guarantee that US or Canada-bound cars will comply with the indicated schedule.)
