I wish it was bigger though, as I liked getting 500+ miles out of a tank in previous 3 series diesels. This is about a weeks mileage for us and safely allows me to get from down south up to Scotland without filling up along the way at a ludicrously over-priced motorway service station. The 450 miles we got the other day makes that a rather tight squeeze.
Doesn't have to be F10 size, but 63 litres would have been ideal. The range from the petrols must be more like 350-400?
I remember getting 650 miles on a tank coming back from Chamonix a few years ago in a 320d... still not good enough to put up with a 4 cylinder diesel though!

The petrols get a 60 litre tank. That's cos they're more thirstier.
