There is a 740i, same as there is a 640i (I've driven a 640i Gran Coupe) equipped with exactly the same power and drivetrain as the F30 335i. Theoretically, they should be the same, but the DMEs are different between 3, 5, 6, and 7-series. It's hard to say whether or not a flash tune would work, but you would think something like the JB4 now being used with the F30's N55 would work on the other series as well.
