The enhanced Bluetooth that you get with BMW Assist gives you A2DP streaming and second phone pairing and it lets you use the white apple cable, not the Y-cable.

I am pretty sure if you order 6NL, it comes with a Combox, as that is where the Enhanced BT and USB originates, so what I wrote is correct in that a Combox is needed. You can of course order 6NL from the factory without 609 Navigation, but the OP was starting already with 6NH.
6NH + No 609 = No Combox = No Codeable A2DP
6NH + 609 = Combox = Codeable A2DP
6NK + No 609 = Combox = A2DP from Factory
6NL + No 609 = Combox = A2DP from Factory
And a car with with 6NH and 609 would be able to be coded for 6NK which supports A2DP, whereas the same car with only 6NH and No 609 can not be.
