Congratulations, you'll have a great time. Me and my lady loved it and hopefully, we'll repeat the experience sometime (at that time we'll probably be a doing it as a family...).
Regarding the summer tires, you'll be fine (I picked up last year late April and had summers installed). There were some cold nights but no frost to worry about.
