Well, it is official: BMW is proposing that the new M3 will have an interior that looks like the
F20 1-Series.
The F30 interior layout is inspired by the
F20 1-Series interior, not by any upper bracket F-chassis car like in past 3-Series interiors based in 5- and 7- Series interiors.
So the idea of pushing a 1-Series
-like interior to the $90,000 bracket is simply absurd. I think that very few buyers would have bought a $70,000+ E90/E92 M3 with an interior that looked like a 1-Series; I would have not. And what makes it even more absurd is that the whole idea of a 4-Series is to charge more than the 3-Series... but with the same crappy interior and less doors.
