I went to an event last Saturday and I noticed a lot of walk ups. So if you don't get the confirmation email, I'm pretty sure you can just show up and sign up there if they can't find you in the system.
I also got my discount code this morning. So the turn around time seems pretty quick (2 business days) for getting codes.
