the 335d the US has is very outdated, we need the 300+HP 35D engines that Europe is getting right now. Better MPG than our 35D and much faster.

problem is because the US doesn't use much diesel fuel, our prices are pretty high, sometimes they are lower than petrol (summer I think) but in the winter petrol is usually cheaper like right now. I am pretty sure in Europe Diesel is cheaper than petrol fuel all year... Many of us on bimmerpost would buy these awesome Diesels but the general US population is still in the dark ages with their knowledge on the engines.
Even the new diesels clatter. I heard a X5d at the dealer the other day. And while not like a 80s diesel, it was not gas smooth or quiet either.
