Given the combination of optimizing a tight rpm power band on the 8 spd/auto, sport auto shift, early low rpm torque, and a/w drive power delivery to all four wheels, the 335i xDrive may very well give the M3 a run for the money on 0-60. However in a real world track environment, the M3 will probably be in a class of it's own. Unfortunately there are no factual data or creditable articles to back up my "innuendo" / "unsubstantiated claim". Just a gut hunch based on the conglomerate of information/misinformation available as fodder for common consumption. Just a thought.
It'd be interesting for a "credible" (yes, I use this term loosely
') media source to conduct a performance comparison of the M3 to the 335i xDrive (Summer tires w/Adaptive suspension). Gut instinct says it will be close.
