bit of an update
ordered 10mm m4 washers as I felt the tube could pass through the actual case so wanted to sandwich the material. as per picture
also whilst at it bought a m4 blue washer and m4 bolt
i think my 22mm threaded sleeve is to long so ordered an 18mm to try
