Also the b pillar appliqué had a lot of play in them the front door b pillar did not align to the rear door appliqué. Me too. When closed, if I put a business card on the read end of the front door, there is a gap of about 1mm from the front of the rear door. Both the driver and passenger sides have the same 1mm offset.
If the noise is coming from the mirror, then I don't see how this gap would increase the noise.
Can you post a picture of where you put the tape and more importantly, did it reduce or eliminate the wind noise?
