It also depends on what you want in a M3/M4.... the current M3/M4 may be the last generation that's offered in RWD and with a manual (or even DCT). The G series m3/m4 will most likely have ZF Auto transmission (instead of "true" DCT) and there are rumors that there will be no manual option; much like the new M5.
