Using Samsung 128 GB Thumbdrive, formatted NTFS, about 3500 FLAC music files and about 20 short videos and movies.
Music from CDs was ripped with Poweramp and tags edited with Tag&Rename.
Thumbdrive takes about 5 minutes to index the first time.
All works fine and consistently on an X5 and on a 435, both 2015 - thanks to good advice from other forum members.
