I ordered both, too.
Of the ones I received, the eBay unit was slightly thicker than the BMS unit, plus I liked the metal spacers better than the foam - so I installed the eBay unit.
While I wouldn't call it a "night and day" difference, it does make for a more positive feel.
Overall, I'd consider it a worthy investment and I'd do it again.
