If I was to plug this in and remove my CIC Head Unit, will I be able to see HU_NBT on my list of ECU's? Also I'm not sure if I need a specific NBT Head Unit for the F30 - are they all the same? I can probably buy the PnP adapter from Bimmerretrofit to get the Nav and Voice control working.
Seems like I can use my existing 8.8" screen and CIC controller for this.

All North American NBT units should be alike, but NBT Units for Europe and Asia will be different due to the FM, DAB, and Sat Radio Tuner differences.
Beyond the NBT Unit istelf and the CAN Filter for Navigation and Voice Recognition Activation, I do not think it is Plug-N-Play to install as the Pinouts are different from CIC, and you will also need additional FSC Codes for BMW Apps and Sat Radio imported and activated into it if you want those features. Lastly, the car cannot be ISTA/P programmed with NBT installed, so you will need to swap back in your CIC unit for any dealer programming.
