Yes, technically -- I renamed the existing psdzdata folder to psdzdata.47 and copied in the entire new psdzdata folder.
Maybe if I re-extract the psdzdata folder again from the 48.3 archive it'll magically work.. but that's what I'm already doing. Ps I am running E-Sys v3.18.4.
