Just keep practicing the heavy braking method (2-3 times, break very heavily from around 70mph to 20-30). Remember, do not stop, continue driving and apply light brake pressure afterwards otherwise your discs could (potentially) warp - however unlikely it's not work the risk.
It's what I do, it fixes it every time - for a while. This crappy weather is a nightmare for this.
