Got a new 2016 328i xdrive with N26 engine. Service guys swear you don't need to change more often than every 10K but my plan is to do a break-in change at 1,500 and then one between the free 10K changes. Can't believe the owners manual doesn't tell you how much oil to use
Anyhow sounds like 5 - 5.5 quarts of 0W - 20. My question is will the DIY oil change reset the maintenance notice intervals that display on the dash?
