I wonder why they are so difficult to repair? The sidewall is different than a non-run-flat, but isn't the tread the same?
I have read that the sidewall on a run-flat is not repairable at all, and that kinda make sense. I don't know why the tread would be an issue, though.
Could it just be a liability issue -- the tire shop not wanting to be responsible if the sidewall's integrity is compromised, but not noticed?
