I just got this email from ECS Tuning. No knock on them, as they are a great vendor and I buy stuff from them regularly, but who the hell in their right mind is going to pay $500 to do something to your car that we have previously have spent a few hundred dollars to 'undo'.

I've purchased the EURO tail lights for my e46 ZHP tail lights to remove the amber, and have bought the OEM blacklines for my previous e90 335i to get rid of the amber in the US spec tail lights. Now I have the option to to pay twice as much to put the amber back in my already beautiful amber free tail lights!

Am I out of date on the current BMW modding trends?
