In essence it didnt make production until the 21st May, a full 3 weeks after it's origionaly planned start and was ready at plant from the 30th May. I'd read a few reports about shortage of the new engine for the 328i of recent and maybe this was the reason for the production delay, but the dealer couldn't confirm this. I would assume a delay in my production would have a knock on effect!
When I spoke with the dealer yesterday they said that once it has been allocated a ship BMW customer care will send you a link to a BMW system to track it, but not as detailed as the US system.
I'll be interested to see if BMW CC sends the email, I'd like that.
