No.
In a RWD car, it would allow for wheelspin and sideways fun with no computer intervention.
In AWD, it does not mean much of anything because wheelspin and sideways fun is not happening until a very high thresh-hold. Your CA implying that Xdrive becomes like RWD with the press of a button is silly.
