I had the same problem with my old X1 during extreme weather and the tech told me I used too many accessories at the same time. That's why it disengages some really important accessories, like the rear defrost!! I couldn't see anything...the heating was only working on defrost, my feet were so cold. Can't believe it happened in a BMW...
