I had the vehicle in for other warranty work afterward and they verified level was set correctly.
I find the BMW/ZF procedure is not all that different in principle from some other mfg auto transmissions.
Getting the tech info was more difficult than the mechanical part.
So for clarification, are you saying that the fill plug IS the correct fill level at the specified temperature? And you have verified this buy getting the ATF to that temperature, opening up the fill plug, and seeing that the ATF fluid was exactly at the lower part of the fill plug hole?
