I have a hellish LA commute also but I don't mind it AS much as getting my BMW. Even though its gridlock most of the time. When there is that small 5 second opening of space I love hitting the HAPPY pedal.
I can't believe you didn't want the moonroof. I love having it open and when I don't I leave the sliding panel open to let in more light
