Not sure why you hope that? The better Cadillac and other automakers get at making cars, the more they push BMW, Mercedes, to excel and get better. Competition is nothing but a good thing for consumers.
If Caddy refines the ATS, such that it surpasses the 3-series, then BMW should stop worrying about damn FWD cars and work harder to maintain their advantage with their core RWD cars.
