I picked the medium, because that's what I measured for, using this chart from Skene:
If you go with the the "short" bracket, just realize your plate will tilt/face even more towards the ground than mine, i.e.
less perpendicular to the road. I suppose it's all personal preference, but as you can see in my pics, my plate does actually tilt/face down quite a bit. Any shorter, and it's going to be majorly tilted to face the pavement, as opposed to more perpendicular.
