They did on the previous E9x model, where the LSD was available as an option; and the B3 GT3 was equipped with it as a standard.
Unfortunately they seemed to have abandoned this - maybe due to pressure from BMW as they may consider it as an M3-only feature that will serve as a way to differentiate the B3 from the future M3 (which will have a very similar engine setup as it seems).

Thanks for the info. Seems sort of strange, considering this appears to be more of an exotic limited production tuner model while the M3 is mass produced (I could be dead wrong on this). Not to say one wouldn't cross shop them, but wouldn't the alpina be more $$$ and have more refined colors/interior materials while retaining the ability drive seriously fast? With that kind of power, the lack of an LSD seems almost like a design flaw.
The M3 will be harsher, lighter and more visceral IMO.
