I had the same, they needed it for the day. They said it was to get the car on the ramps and do a full inspection of the wheel. Later that day they sent me a text and a link to a video, showing a full vehicle inspection inc all of the underside of the car. A short time later they called to say the wheel had been replaced under warranty....so I was relieved, but why the car had a full inspection and had a detailed report on tyre tread depths etc is baffling.
