I just saw on tv a news special called "BMW: A Driving Obsession." They allowed a reporter into the BMW plant and were discussing how much intricate detail goes into making the car such as design, comfort, and sound frequency for alarms in the car. The sounds of the alarms segment stood out to me because the designer said he'd listen to the same sounds nearly 2000 times a day to get that perfect pitch because repeated sounds in the car that could annoy customers is a major concern. I'm thinking, all this time and detail spent on how alarms sound in the car but no one noticed or cared to notice this annoying chirp? What gives?
