The corono rings ("halos") are also on, and can be on as "daytime running lights" on their own, during the day, as well.
In the US the outer lens used to be the "cornering light", and would come on e.g. when going round a corner; but with the "Adaptive Headlights" option in the UK now, it's the foglights that do this, so the outer lens (the inside of it) is completely unused
