Yes it was...mid-July production. I picked it up on August 5th.
My iDrive controller had touch features that allowed me move around and make things bigger or small by pinching the touch pad or swiping left or right but I never even thought to touch the screen. I'll let you know in a couple of weeks when I get my car...I seem to recall a video showing that Apple Car Play uses the BMW screen or the touch pad but since it wouldn't work while I was in Germany, they told me to ask my dealer for a demo when it was delivered.
