335 vert absolutely. There are things certainly better about the F30 328i... Styling of interior/exterior, fuel efficiency, and "newness" factor. However, as others have said, he has already taken the hit on the depreciation for the most part and you're getting a car that you know the PO and how he drives.
PS - Your uncle sounds like he is one of those guys that goes in and does whatever the dealer wants him too. lol
