My impression is that the driving modes (EP, C, S, S+) alter the chassis, transmission, throttle, engine response, steering and exhaust behavior, as well as suspension dampeners.
The D/S mode pertains strictly to the transmission software.
This is my understanding, and hopefully someone can correct me if i am wrong.
