In this video I'm trying without the metal cage. There is no difference with or without that..

You need the cage that's loose to be attached to the bulb socket on the headlamp, without that it will just wobble around. I'm pretty sure that by bending what you have, you won't be able to get the cage back on. Where are you based? I'm assuming not the UK given your flag?
