My reading, no new diesel cars are exempt. All new diesel cars already have to comply with EU6.
The references to 'exempt' cars, are to those that comply to EU6 RDE Step 2. Seems RDE Step 1 doesn't even qualify as exempt.
The clarification can only come if Step 2 "is, or is not" the test regime that matters. It isn't even here yet.... RDE Step 1 is only now being implemented, not yet required for new registrations.
