I recall BMW confirming all Europe cars produced from July 2011 are unaffected by this unfettered access to their in car libraries.
And, I thought BMW already released an ECU software upgrade to address this issue for cars manufactured before 7/11.
Its not (yet) an issue for US and hopefully won't become one. I understand this type of access via OBD is restricted/locked on US cars. Maybe one thing they did right on this side of the pond.
