V1 has a set damper from the KW factory. With the V2 you can adjust damping from soft to stiff with the turn of a knob.
Oh one more note. This is superficial but the V2 no longer comes with the stainless steel finish for the rear strut. It is just painted black. The front is still stainless steel though.
