What a blast. I may not ever take a wrench to my car. I was able to successfully code weather band radio and also eliminate the iDrive startup nag screen.
For me,
this document, followed step by step, worked perfectly.
For the info of others who might try, I was able to code a MY12 F30 built in June, 2012 (late model year production) with E-Sys 3.18.3 and psdzdata 47.4, just as was recommended.
I used a MacBook Air running Win7 64-bit in a Parallels virtual machine. The key to success on an MBA is to turn off WiFi completely and to set the virtual adapter in Parallels to use the bridged network instead of the shared network. If you also use "default network" in the VM settings, you MUST LEAVE WiFi off otherwise you will interrupt the connection and have to start over.
Now that I'm addicted, I would really appreciate someone confirming which modules/settings have to be coded to close the side mirrors with Comfort Access closing and reopening them automatically with CA.
