At work we use The Michelin Alpin A4's (Not a RWD BMW though) and I am very impressed with them last year and was going to get a set for my motor but actually went with the Goodyear Ultragrip 8's and found them stunning in the snow and very cold...

I get my F30 tomorrow and atm it is sitting on Summers (not even sure what type...) so will see how it feels
I never drive my cars hard in winter months ,so winter tyres are not problem for me, IF weather improves significantly early, I would change but knowing UK weather not a chance
