Yes. I have same problem. I noticed that there are some index files that were created by the media system when I plugged in the thumb drive. It tries to play the system files for some reason and then you get the error message. If I am in an album folder I don't have these issues. It seems that the root of the drive has these system files only so I can't play the whole the drive randomly. Must pick genre or Artist or Album and I have no problem.
