I hope so, I wasn't told there would be a charge so assume it will be covered under warranty.
As BMW are putting together a kit to solve this problem I would take that as meaning they're acknowledging there is a problem and will be fixing it. I was told end of this month they should have the kits to do the work so we'll see soon enough!
