Dealer wouldn't budge from that discount (5% off), and it took a lot of haggling to get there... do you guys in Canada think I could get it lower given it's essentially a base model with some packages?

Have you shopped around at other dealers? Which dealer did you get this offer from? All dealers tend to offer different quotes.
