One of the reasons for the notchy 1:2 shift is the CDV (Clutch Delay Valve). It makes it easier for 16-year old girls to drive a manual transmission without stalling, but it makes it notchy for everyone else. On the E9X, you can remove this CDV with a part from Bavarian Auto Sport. Does the F30 have the same CDV?
