In fact I am able to use the white Apple cable, and album art appears as well. This is different from other peoples experiences on this and other forums.
Just to re-iterate, I do not have 6NL/6NK options. This can be seen in the below video where there is clearly no bluetooth streaming functionality. Looking up the VIN confirms that extended connectivity has not been optioned.

Grr so NBT solved that problem. FML, my us 2013 won't be able to do this
