I have the N20 engine - If you look on RealOEM.com, it looks like they were manufacturing N20 and N26 engines side-by-side towards the end of last year, but not in 01/2012 or 02/2012 manufacturing. Mine was 01/2012.
It says on mine that it meets California ULEV spec.
