I currently have an E90 318i Msport Edition, which returns 30mpg on average, my new F30 3.0d is due for delivery on 01-10-12, as long as it does more than 30mpg on average I will be happy! I test drove a 530d over a mixed 150 mile route and returned 45mpg....the 5 is a bigger car, was loaded with 4 passengers and a bootfull of stuff.
