BMW F30 LED Door Sill Install

I installed a set and fried my fem module. no warranty all wires were soldered and wrapped with heat shrink then tesa taped. now I have no foot well lights when you open the door... the lights draw to much current..

The OEM version from BMW use batteries, so there's no wiring. They do have an issue, though, water can eventually get inside and corrode the innards. If you get the OEM you'll see a channel that separates the inner lit logo area from the outer frame. There is weatherstripping tape inside that is supposed to make that joint watertight, but it's not. Fill that joint on the outside with clear silicone sealer.
