Aftermarket pedal sets
Anyone been able to track down/install aftermarket pedals for the F30? My interweb searches show:
None of these OEM pedals are available for the F30 http://www.shopbmwusa.com/ProductLis...?CategoryId=45 AC has F30 pedals, but they are $600 for the manual set plus footrest?! http://www.acschnitzer-usa.com/ Turner and bmwpedals do not yet have F30 sets. http://www.turnermotorsport.com/BMW-...edal-sets.aspx http://www.bmwpedals.com/ Bimmian's pedal sets do not look like they fit fully over the OEM pedals, pretty ghetto. http://www.bimmian.com/Aluminum-Peda...om-Bimmian.com Thoughts? |

Does anyone else exclusively drive barefoot I would imagine anything but the stock rubber pedals would hurt.

Hey guys,
What about a set (accel and brake pedals) that matches the footrest that comes installed in the M-Sport?

Seriously, though, I don't think I have ever driven my car shoeless. Would be most interested in some nice aluminum pedals, like the OEM performance ones from shopbmw.com. Subtle but important styling point IMHO. |

Never--just curious, why do you drive barefoot? I've read the debates about whether or not it's safe (I don't see any harm in it) but I never would because I'm always wearing dress shoes or sneakers...not exactly easy to remove. Do you wear flip flops frequently? (or high heels)

It's a full on habit at this point. I feel much more connected to the vehicle and I can't really imagine it any other way. Socks don't make a difference btw.. just as long as I'm not wearing shoes.. With a manual transmission, the clutch feel is 10x nicer when you have a direct connection w/ the flywheel. It basically becomes an extension of your left foot, without any rubbery-shoe blocking the way. I wear all sorts of shoes, depending on the day, weekend, etc.. Dress shoes at work, birkenstocks to the beach, sneakers to hikes/working out no matter what shoe/car it is I take my shoes off after sitting in the driver's seat. There must be other shoeless drivers out there!

Cool, so you remove your shoes no matter what kind of shoes? I've never met anyone who does that every time no matter what kind of shoe they are wearing. I've driven barefoot once or twice when I needed to move the car out of the garage and didn't put on shoes, but never any real distance, I will give it a try! Currently wearing these as I type: Last edited by AWF30MSPORT; 07-20-2012 at 09:41 PM.. |

I tried the puma ones at one point, but I didn't like how tightly they wrapped around my feet and they are super uncomfortable (imo) outside of the car..
But that makes sense because the sole is so very thin - Hence why they are driving shoes - Hence why I drive without shoes

I drive barefoot sometimes too, especially if I'm in Birkenstocks or very stiff-soled shoes that don't let me "feel" the pedal.

$114.99 + shipping. Shipping is $10-$15 for US $45 international. Here is the installation video. |
