M Performance Decal Fade

Hi All!

Just bought a 2016 340i and I'm looking to do some cosmetic work. The M Performance rocker panel decal is faded underneath all four door gaps, has anyone found a good way to restore the decal? Thinking either a good polish or back to black trim restore but would love some advice if anyone has done this before. Thanks for the help! Looking forward to being apart of the forum.

that looks like damage more so than fade, but I could be wrong.

It looks like the water will drain onto the decal down the gap. There is a similar discoloration under all 4 door gaps.

Mineral deposit and staining from the water dripping down. If it is painted, try some polishes from light to medium to heavy cut and see what results you get. If it is black plastic, try some restoring products (CarPro PERL for example) after a little bit of isopropyl alcohol rubbed on it to break up the hard water minerals left behind.

If it has the sticker, try vinegar. That looks like hard water deposits.
